If you are opposed to a ban, you are in favor of the practice.
"States Rights" is suddenly Rudy's way out of painting himself into a liberal corner, eh?
As I recall, "States Rights" was the code term for racist bigots in the South, used by Democrats. Is that now what the Giuliani people are trying to promote?
It's wrong to kill babies in the womb, so if we call it "States' Rights" we can get away with abortion?
I expect they will resort to that if Rudy gets the nod.
Rudy Giuliani supports homosexual rights, civil unions, signed a generous domestic partnership bill as mayor, and famously lived with two homosexual men.
Can you picture the orgies....and does it excite you?
Like most normal Americans, it repulses me. Those of you who defend the homosexual agenda are the ones to be pitied.
Just remember, Rudy is the one with the lisp.

Soft on Gay Marriage
Other than tax cuts, the biggest domestic issue of the 2004 election was President Bush's support of a Constitutional Amendment to define marriage as being between a man and a woman. Unfortunately, Rudy Giuliani has taken a "Kerryesque" position on gay marriage.
Although Rudy, like John Kerry, has said that marriage should remain between a man and a woman, he also supports civil unions, "marched in gay-pride parades ...dressed up in drag on national television for a skit on Saturday Night Live (and moved in with a) wealthy gay couple" after his divorce. He also very vocally opposed running on a gay marriage amendment:
His thoughts on the gay-marriage amendment? "I don't think you should run a campaign on this issue," he told the Daily News earlier this month. "I think it would be a mistake for anybody to run a campaign on it -- the Democrats, the president, or anybody else."
Here's more from the New York Daily News:
"Rudy Giuliani came out yesterday against President Bush's call for a ban on gay marriage.
The former mayor, who Vice President Cheney joked the other night is after his job, vigorously defended the President on his post-9/11 leadership but made clear he disagrees with Bush's proposal to rewrite the Constitution to outlaw gays and lesbians from tying the knot.
"I don't think it's ripe for decision at this point," he said on NBC's "Meet the Press."
"I certainly wouldn't support [a ban] at this time," added Giuliani..."
Although Rudy may grudgingly say he doesn't support gay marriage (and it would be political suicide for him to do otherwise), where he really stands on the issue is an open question.

Check this out to see where you stand with these folks.
Are you repulsed more by tall gays or short gays? Husky or thin? Indoor or outdoor?
How hard are you driven by your repulsion?
If it repulsed you, it wouldn't consume your every thought.
Good question...the posts are postively frightening and I fear for this Country more than I ever have. If we don't make the WOT the number one priority next election, nothing else will matter...why can't people see that?
I don't think about it, except when people like you try to force the homosexual agenda on everyone else. You actually seem to be the one who is consumed by the idea. Is there something you would like to tell everyone at FreeRepublic?
Rudy digging himself out of the gay marriage mess he got himself in.
LOL!
I don't think Reagan was looking for a conservative future presidential candidate when he appointed Guiliani Associate AG back in '81. Was probably more concerned with finding a guy who could prosecute Mafia bosses.
In other words Reagan may have been more socially Conservative but he recognized that Rudy had the skills to crush the bad guys. Which makes Rudy perfect to go after the Islamofascists, in the opinion of many, many people.
I'm flattered. But, alas, I'm not consumed by the same thoughts that consume you.
Well you know, Rudy is a sinner while these types are holier-than-thou. Holy and righteous!
