The E-Mail of the Year at the Pasadena Pundit - from a Combat Medic
"To the great people responsible for our holiday greetings, I am a combat medic with a Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad. I made my way down to the mail room today. Just to see if I had anything. Not really expecting to find anything. To my surprise, the mail clerk said that you have a package. The first thing I saw was the Operation Gratitude printed on the side of the Box. My first though was this can't be mine. I didn't put my name on any list or request anything like this. I looked at the label and low and behold, it was for me. Then I realized it was from California. I was thinking I don't know anyone in California. When I opened the box and saw all the goodies, I felt almost like a kid at Christmas. As I dug through all the cool stuff, I noticed cards in the bottom. When I opened the card and saw the pictures of all the folks in the warehouse and the kind words, tears swelled into my eyes. You have no Idea how yawl have touched this one soldier. Makes me feel so proud and grateful to have the support of folks like yawl. In the picture I see people from all walks of life, all ages, all races who have all come together for one purpose. Uplifting our spirits in these difficult days that we are away from our families, friends and dealing with the daily hardships we deal. As I look at the picture it makes me think that you are all truly Americans. Everything our great country was founded upon and all that we believe and fight for. So from one little ol soldier to all of you, my heartful thanks. Words can not express my gratitude for your support. To all those who have served in your group, thank you. For not for you we would not be able to serve today. And the guys and gals that fought in Vietnam, Thank You. During your time, you had not the support of the American people that we have now. I just want you to know that we are grateful for what you did and at least I will never forget you. Can't think of any other way to say it but, Thank you, God Bless you and may you continue to be blessed where you may continue to bless others. Now I know I have a whole group of friends in California. SPC "K.H." Pundit Comment: Dennis Prager is fond of saying that the older you get the more you cry about good things happening than bad things happening. This is one of those very good things. Don't miss this one. *get a tissue*
It ain't "yawl", but I'm glad this soldier felt the gratitude. We owe a lot to these men and women.
Grab the tissues before reading.
This is terrific. Thanks for sharing it.
God Bless Our Troops!!
There ARE worthy causes such as this in every state that we should all donate towards.
It helps us all to take a little time to seek them out and donate what you can to them.
It's that litle bit of America we all hope will eventually win out over the ambitions of those who seek to destroy it.
We will win this country back.
Stupid moniter is out of focus.
What brand is yours? Mine is doing the same....
Your's too?
WOW!! Very cool!! I LOVE getting mail from the troops!! God bless them, every one!!
