I agree...please excuse the capitals, but I am hoping someone close to the President will hear this!
THE PRESIDENT NEEDS TO BYPASS THE MEDIA AND SPEAK DIRECTLY TO THE AMERICAN PUBLIC. WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON IN IRAQ.
SHOW US TROOPS, LET THEM SPEAK, GO TO IRAQ'S LET THEM TELL US THEY WANT FREEDOM...WHAT DOES FREEDOM MEAN TO THEM?
HOW CAN YOU WIN IF WE ARE NOT SURE WHAT WIN MEANS?
WHAT IS THE DEFINITION OF WINNING THIS WAR?
Iraqi's are so busily engaged in rebuilding their country -- they, unlike our welfare and liberalists, have no time to do "staged" MSM encounter group therapy.
ARE WE HELPING PEOPLE THAT DO NOT WANT HELP?
Some of the enemy sure don't want us to help.
PRESIDENT NEEDS TO ADDRESS THE IRAQ POPULATION.
He has, and done so, initially himself, and then after the Iraqi elections, through the Iraqi Interim and current Presidents.
HE NEEDS TO ASK THEM TO SUPPORT THIER TROOPS AND STAND STRONG. WE NEED TO SEE THE IRAQ'S COME TO THIER OWN DEFENSE.
Both items have been happening. For years.

First of all your comments go well beyond the scope of that which is the stated policy of FR...secondly ladies, I doubt if either of you has ever seen war up close and personal, but if you'd bother to check my profile, you'll see that I was stationed in DaNang for a year in 1967 (primarily helping other Navy corpsmen stuff the bodies of dead Marines into body bags for shipment home when George Bush was doing a one weekend drill a month in the Air Guard) so DON'T EVER G-D TELL ME ABOUT MILITARY FAMILIES OR THEIR SUFFERING BECAUSE I'VE SEEN IT UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL!
Secondly, OhioWfan you are the biggest bully and pain in the a$$ on this site the way you presume to throw your weight around (which I'm convinced must be considerable in lieu of your piggish treatment of others).
Thirdly, you pass yourself off as a pious practitioner of Christianity but you're the epitome of everything Jesus railed against, hypocrite!

What is amazing, I've watched the president and he appears to always be months ahead in his planning and thinking.

Is the comparison to the "cold war" a far comparison?
How many American servicemen died on foreign soil during the cold war?
I only pointed out they were similar in that neither had a projected point for victory when it would all be over.
We just had to fight the Cold War until it was over. Same with the WOT.
