Pres. Bush of course will not weaken on Iraq.

As a matter of fact, I believe the Baker report actually may strengthen his hand since it contained no real strong earth-shattering recommendations.

Perhaps Jimmie Baker did the President a favor.

Bush has always had difficulty in articulating our posistion on Iraq and the stakes. It is a problem. The contrast between him and Blair is stark. That said, Blair has been unable to win the support of the British public.

The title was changed on Fox News from the original title in a matter of seconds after I originally posted so I had to post the new title.

Just as no one could define the specific conditions of victory in the Cold War, so it is impossible to specifically define the same now, especially since terror spreads across borders...it is not limited to one state.

I don't think Bush would have picked him if he was a Surrender Monkey even though I wish Gates wouldn't want to talk to Iran until they do what they are required to do.

The choice is simple. Victory in our times, or terrible war, slavery and death in the future.

Clinton ran from terrorism and Americans were killed around the globe in great numbers. If we lose Iraq, it'll be worse than that. I hope the "American stomach" is ready for hand to hand, because thats what's next if we follow the democrats and surrender again.

After all the crap about the Iraq Surrender Group in the last 24 hours, I think this deserves to be in the breaking news section.

Exactly. As long as he is CinC, we ain't quitting. Are you listening to his presser with Tony Blair? He just kicked butt when a reporter accused him of not realizing how "tough" the war has been. Woo-hoo!

"tell that to a soldier in the middle east"

They have no idea how the politicians back home have betrayed them. You keep deluding yourself while this stage plays out and good young men die for a lost cause.

IT IS OVER.

Start using overwhelming force and we will have victory. You can't defeat your enemy with a shove. Blunt force trauma is necessary.

Dubya and Blair have NEVER backed down on this. And if I recall, the President is STILL IN CHARGE.

We're not being told what's really going on here.

Cheney to Saudia Arabia, Bush's middle east trip, Iraqi's in the Whitehouse, Blair here, Rumsfeld gone - there is something going on that is not being said by anyone.

I think someone has designed a grand strategy and all this Baker commission stuff is just cover.

I have no idea - but all the sides trips and meetings imply that something is happening.
