Another case of non-kosher food served on an El Al plane was reported on Thursday in the wake of Haredim and the El Al management seemingly heading toward compromise over a similar case reported on Tuesday and last week's Shabbat flight.
Army Radio reported that passengers were unknowingly served non-kosher sandwiches on a flight from Budapest last Thursday after the kosher food brought from Israel had spoiled due to the plane's long stay at Budapest airport as it was unable to depart due to the general strike in Israel.

"It also led to the usual Roman, mythical Jews-have-to-obey-every-law-all-the-time-or-they'll-burn-hell comments."
It demonstrates an ignorance and insensitivity that I thought had died out with the kind of trailer trash that used to cheer on Father Coughlin.
Not so much "silly" as "vile."
One really has to wonder just how much Jews have to contribute to society before their way of life is both accepted and respected.

I think the Goebbels comment directed at Liberty Valance was one of the most amazingly over-the-top, over-reacting statements I've seen on FR. Sort of takes my breath away.
I suggest a less acidic response from all of us towards those who are still recovering from a traumatic experience only to find themselves in a more traumatic experience.
My fee for treating reality challenged individuals is $200.00/hr and the doctor is in.
If you don't want treatment, here's some free advice:
A sense of humor is necessary to enjoy life. Get one.

Ahhhh, you so wise...and my point stands - nobody was condemned to hell over this.
I hope you're right. Thanks for posting.
hey ralph, whassup?
LOL!
Can I get a discount?
Not much! And as far as this thread is concerned and the humor-impaired, that's about all I can say.
