I was there for the 50th anniversary. I got to watch the ceremonies from the top of a high rise on the sub base--I got a great view of the whole harbor, Ford Island, the Mighty Mo tied up across the water...Bush 41 at the Arizona Memorial...I can still remember him almost breaking up towards the end of his speech...It was very somber and spectacular at the same time.

There is MORE than one kind of BASTARD! Never forget September 11, 2001!
The USS Shaw explodes.
The Joint Congressional Committee
Table of Contents gives a good over-view of the Report
and the Report itself refers back to the previous reports.
It you don't know where to begin, surf through the TOC to get oriented.
The Pearl Harbor Investigation Listing ,
The "NINE INVESTIGATIONS" in chronological order
including the Joint Congressional Committee report and
the other eight official investigations
into the attack.
The Listing of Additional Files
holds several items that are of interest but weren't included in all of the proceedings.
They have been extracted and made available separately.

It seems lately that many remember it by name, but fail to remember the lessons it taught us.

These momentous events are hardly taught in pubic schools.
And post modern wars are fought in a blur of media manipulation...with hardly a thought of what our heroes are doing for us over there.
We have to keep that corporate machine going...

They played Norman Corwin's "We Hold These Truths" radio program on XM 164 Oldies last night.
The tribute to the Bill of Rights on the 150th anniversary (December 15, 1941).
It's a show that could go word for word today, or Dec 15, 2001, just replacing Nazism with "radical Islam" and "Hitler" with UBL.
It's an hour-long program that goes through each element of the bill of rights. 2nd amendment says not a word about hunting....says only that the 2nd amendment is to KEEP THE GOVERNMENT FROM CONTROLLING THE PEOPLE.
It was heartbreaking to listen to. To hear so dramatically how much America has fallen.
How much Chuck Schumer and Hillary Clinton were the very type of power-hungry politicians that those quoted in 1941 and 1791 warned of.
They spoke of a free people that could work and speak and worship as they pleased. Not the OSHA, McCain Feingold, and ACLU PC America that we have created.
Shame on us all.

"We'd all be drinking saki and eating sushi and sauerkraut right now." Thank God we don't do that.Yes, indeed. We'd all be lighting matches on airliners.

This anniversary will be all but ignored because it reminds us that we are now at war because of the attack of September 11.
The left wants us to forget all about that....

Good morning.
"However 3 kids do not make a majority."
3 kids make a start.
I believe it was some murdering Chinese communist who said something about a journey of a thousand miles beginning with one step.
Do you have kids? Get them started in the right direction.

Is it too much to ask for the American people, including the President, to react the same way to 9/11/2001??? Where is the sacrifice, the committment to win??? Why did President Bush say to the American people, "Go about your lives." He should have told us we had to sacrifice, and work hard for the long haul. He should have put this country on a war footing and gone to war with all the might and fury this country can muster!!
I am sickened by what has become of my country!!
