This would be a national disaster, a self-inflicted humiliation of the highest order for the United States. Basically, America throws in the towel, rewards those killing American troops and sells its only ally, Israel down the river. I don't think this is about peace in Iraq, it's about getting out at minimal cost. If Baker can do a few favors for the Saudis, a palestinian state for example, so much the better.
