What price is this administration willing to pay for peace in Iraq? Baker wants us to talk with syria and iran, jumpin' Jehoshaphat, that's insane. Both countries want to wipe Israel off the map.

I don't think this is about peace in Iraq, it's about getting out at minimal cost. If Baker can do a few favors for the Saudis, a palestinian state for example, so much the better.

Screw the saudis, they flew planes into our buildings. And the Palestinians who celebrated it.

Given the multiple generations who have born into hate, taught hate from birth, lived hate, breathed hate in every fiber of their being I doubt if we will ever see a Palestinian state in our lifetime. They simply don't have the capacity to live in a civil society. Their leaders have guaranteed conflict for generations to come.
