The "worst mistake" in American history was ever allowing Al Gore run for anything.

RE: Proxy wars with Iran and 1936 timeline
An excellent analysis, I agree completely.

Did you not hear O'Connor? She just declared it ok to do a partial birth abortion on Iraq and the War on Terror.

The Iraq Study Group Report has 79 Recommendations. Many creating new diplomatic efforts (US, the regions nations and the UN). Also speaks to Israel and Golan Heights and thins Palestinians must do. And yes not to be left out (#42) complete training and equipping Iraqi's by the first quarter of 2008. Other interesting inputs include CIA, FBI and other help/training. And oh yeah (#48) Congress approving funds to get military equipment restored to full functionality within 5 years, after it comes back stateside. It also says something about no interference from the legislative or executive branches in making the recommendation happen. Right.
Really interesting.

I agree. IMO, I see signs of the (end) times. There is no longer a grey area, it's either black or white. The media, the left, most liberals/democrats are the enemy of what is right for this country. It's really sad and scary, but I have to believe God has a plan.

yet another attempt to undermine our President and lose the war. I disagree, because you are wrong about the intent. Public support has already been fragmented. It is a attempt to put it back together.
Bush understands it, and will use it appropriately as a political tool, which is what it is.

The President has asked for this report to get ideas, I don't believe that the President had anything to do with this committee. It's another congress undermining of the President IIRC. The fact that this isn't clear is the fault of the MSM and the President, who does not seem capable of speaking up for himself, to his (and our) great loss.

At least the terrorists now have an itinerary for what's next.....
To: Howlin
Yes he did, Joe asked him first, with glee of course, they whole conversation revolved around the fact that the Pres would HAVE to listen to this group, and the Republicans on the Hill that were saying to the President that "it is OVER".

Well, except that federal agents would be fighting for the blue side, who have few guns of their own.

To: Howlin
Russert says the Committee is bold and commanding, that the Presidency is over, the WOT is over, the Committee is saving the ME from anarchy, the Dems will run the country now.The price for this kind of delusion is another 3,000-plus Americans dead in another 9/11-like terrorist attack. Frankly, some in this nation deserve another hit.
Pray for Pres. Bush and this country. If things continue as they are, he will go down in history as one of our worst presidents (since the left will write the history), and America will follow Europe into the dark abyss.

It really is just a body massage for the public pain over this misunderstood war. I do hope it helps some in that regard, but there is nothing in it that is new. If it helps to get some more public support for what we are doing, then it has done it's job. I readily admit I am extremely upset at what I just heard at that news conference .. and I will take some time off to calm now and think more clearly
But I will say this much ... imo .. that press conference was a Cronkite moment
But O'Cornor said it ... she told the media it was up to them to read the report and interrupt it to the public
I don't know how to fight against this .. I don't know how to fix the mess and I truly fear for our future
IMO .. this is 1938 with nukes and a media acting like it's the end of Vietnam
