The women tried to deliver an anti-war petition with 70,000-plus signatures to mission officials on March 6.

... The four, who were protesting as part of a group called Women Say No to War, are charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstructing government administration. Each faces a year in jail if convicted on all charge.
I doubt they will get jail time.

Oh I don't know about no jail time, that UN is 'holy ground' to New Yorkers.

Much hunkier than Lew Rockwell, eh Medea?"

Naw, she's going to jail.
Who's going to defend her? Notice the silence on this protest? The media is tired of her antics, and nobody is paying attention anymore. Not even the commies, hippies, and freaks over at the HuffPo. Can you blame them though? You wouldn't use a Kleenex® twice, would you?
I can't help but think of the term, "useful idiot."

This is going to trial?!?! Aren't these things pleaded out usually?
It's been kinda quiet lately. Guess that's all gonna change everytime she walks out of the courtroom. It'll be a lecture a day on the courthouse steps.
I'm going to bed. Someone wake me when its over.

How many people on Manhattan Island and the surrounding area do you think really support the war?
Anyone other than Sheehan would probably get some jail time for the same behavior.

This is MANHATTAN....not the Bronx and her race is wrong, for a Bronx acquittal.
Believe it or not there ARE GOPers and CONSERVATIVE ones at that, living in Manhattan and they get called to jury duty and serve. I know this because I had jury duty in Manhattan.
Where do YOU live? Have you ever lived in Manhattan?
And NO, people from the "surrounding area" ( are you referring to the four other burrows that comprise N.Y.C., along with Manhattan ? ) do NOT get to serve jury duty in places they do not live in.
She just might have to serve some jail time, but since she has no priors there, I'm not holding my breath.

HORSEFEATHERS !
Most New Yorkers do NOT consider the UN to be anything other than a rotten neighbor and have little regard for it.
To: nopardons
Cindy is not going on trial before 'MOST' New Yorkers now is she? Hillryville home of the UN is the global monument that makes New York the place to be.
To: Just mythoughts
Where do YOU live?
Cindy isn't a New Yorker.
Manhattan isn't HILLRYVILLE ( sic...learn how to spell her name, or at least use spell check ), and an awful lot of New Yorkers have hated the UN since it was built.
Oh and BTW.....you don't think, so you can;t have "thoughts"; you have delusions.
To: nopardons
My comment was about where Cindy trespassed and that would if anything give her 'jail' time cause it was the UN.
I live in Missouri.
I spell Hillry like that cause that is exactly how Bill Clinton pronounces it.
