Absolutely right. Those people don't want a democracy. They want a fascist theocracy.

"Are you really so ignorant (no lesser word will do) that you think that Stalin would have been A-OK with one of his subjects thinking that Communism sucks as long as he pulls his weight on the collective farm or whatever?"

I grow weary of revisiting this irrelevancy, and I am not overly fond of being insulted.

If neither of you can discern the difference between the physical coercion of cooperation as practiced in the USSR, and the cradle to grave (or bomb-crater) theosophical square peg into round hole pounding that every Muslim child receives, then it is not my ignorance that is a problem.

Even Communist subjects are permitted to develop the faculty of reason. With such a discernment, the questioning of authority and the nature of man are at least possible, which is not the case for the deracinated rationality of "Islamic Scholars."

the deracinated rationality

That's a good description of "dialectial materialism". Mind if I steal it?

I don't mind if you steal it, but I would call dialectical materialism more of a pretended "Drunkard's Walk."

One moves forward, one moves back. The goal is not apparent. But little by little it is approached.

I'll assume you're posting tongue in cheek, as I did.

Negative. I prefer a royal blue palette.
