Another key al-Qaeda man thought responsible for activities in Turkey has been captured in Hatay in southeastern Turkey.
Named Malek Charahili, he is thought to have succeeded the Syrian al-Qaeda militant Luai Sakka, who was captured on the verge of a suicide attack against Israeli cruise ships in Turkey.
Sakka was sent to an F type prison in Kandira, sentenced to life imprisonment.
A Tunisian national, Charahili has been living in Hatay for three years masquerading as an artisan. He reportedly helped with the transfer of insurgents to Iraq.
The operation in Hatay was coordinated by the national security department, the National Intelligence Service, and the Hatay Security Directorate.
Intelligence teams had been following Charahili for almost six months. The police tapped his phone calls and discovered his links at home and abroad.
After a police investigation, special teams from the Hatay Security Directorate realized simultaneous raids on three different addresses. Bomb-making materials were found in Charahilis house.
A pic of the scumbag in question.
The only good terrorists is a dead one.
Call the ACLU and Amnesty International ! Alert the Democrats !
Sakka was sent to an F type prison in Kandira.
F type?
Remember the movie "office space".
A life sentence in a Turkish prison might be the only thing worse than the death penalty.
Sentenced to an F-type prison in Turkey!
That dude is literally screwed!
I think F type translates as, " You're **cked "
F prison = *uck you up the a$$" prison.
So Billy, have you ever been inside a Turkish prison?
Oops, "Joey"
Outstanding.
The Third Phase: This is described as "Arising and Standing Up" and should last from 2007 to 2010. "There will be a focus on Syria," prophesies (says) Hussein, based on what his sources told him. The fighting cadres are supposedly already prepared and some are in Iraq. Attacks on Turkey and -- even more explosive -- in Israel are predicted. Al-Qaida's masterminds hope that attacks on Israel will help the terrorist group become a recognized organization. The author also believes that countries neighboring Iraq, such as Jordan, are also in danger.
