Bolton's Goodbye: Bowing to the Inevitable (CHAFEE SAYS "PICK GEORGE MITCHELL")

Some opponents were softening, but the controversial U.N. ambassador's resignation is yet another sign of the changed political landscape after Nov. 7

The resignation of John Bolton as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations marks another acknowledgement by the White House of the political consequences of the Nov. 7 Congressional elections.

....

Chafee, who was defeated for reelection, issued a statement reiterating his opposition. " Mr. Bolton did not demonstrate the kind of collaborative approach that I believe will be called for if we are to restore the United States ' position as the strongest country in a peaceful world," he said. "This would be an appropriate time to choose a nominee who has a proven ability to work with both sides of the political aisle, a history of building strong international relationships and a reputation of respect for the institution of the United Nations. The names Brent Scowcroft and George Mitchell come to mind immediately as outstanding candidates. " There's no word from White House yet on whom it might nominate as Bolton's replacement.

Question; Who would be better than ANY democrat or RINO choice?..

Answer; Carrotop or even Richard Simmons in a Turkey suit..

There is literally no way that the U.N. could possibly be disrespected enough..

Yeah, Bolton's no butt kisser. That's why they hate him so. I've gotten rather fond of him and I think it's a dirty shame he's been treated this way by RINO's and liberals. Fooey on them.

Unfortunately if his revolting buddies in the RNC, that spent tons of cash in Chafee's failed reelection bid, have their way Mitchell or somebody like him may get nominated. The question is did Dubya get infected like the rest of the Washington insiders?

I just pray that Bill Clinton is not somehow the individual who finds his way to this position. He has made every an effort to be right smack in the middle of world power.
