Suicide: That's what I wrote when I first heard he was a Muslim. The entire thing resembles the Anthrax scenario....made for the media. An observation of an "attack" to be viewed for its' effectiveness with trails all over the place.

who was born an Orthodox Christian but had close links to Islamist rebels in Chechnya - This changes everything. Was the guy working with Chechen terrorists? Was he a secret islamist? This story gets weirder and weirder.

I thought suicide the minute I heard he'd been poisoned, but immediately disregarded the idea. Why would he kill himself just to embarrass Putin? Now I know. He wanted the 72 virgins.
