Don't think so, WW...I think things got away from Bush, and he didn't know how to fight against the pc/anti-Bush crowd in a day that requires people not to use words like "slaving at a hot stove" lest it offend someone.
Once again, I feel like I'm in a bad version of the Late Great Planet Earth....
Thanks KAC,
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this. I can't believe Bush would stand tall for 6 years and then cave in after November 7th.
If he doesn't have a plan for the ME and his cabinet is in disaray, then we're all screwed. I just don't believe that to be the case.
Only time (or "W") will tell.
Agree with your assessment. Things have been off-kilter since Israel was not able to finish the job against Hezbullah last Summer (combination of factors there), and it seemed with the ascendance of the Hezbos we lost our bearings in the WOT. Well, maybe it goes back to the Hamas victory in PA elections ...
Now we are struggling to get a handle on the situation as the clock ticks and the Congress turns Dem, Bolton is out, Rummy is out.
I am praying for our President and our country. What a shame that VP Cheney will not run for Pres; he would be wonderful.
Now that you have cable TV...why don't you watch the Brit Hume show tonight...and watch his interview with Pres. Bush.
HE says that Pres. Bush does NOT feel obliged to do what others want..and that he isn't beaten down by the job.
I guess I tend to believe that HE knows a lot that we don't, and that he won't leave in 2008, with this country heading downhill...
For one thing...after this last Nov. he has to realistically worry that in 2008, a DEM might be POTUS, so he HAS to leave the country in a shape that a DEM won't turn over to the terrorists...
because HE has family and friends that he will have to trust the future POTUS to with.
