Al Maliki's initial meeting with Dubyah was unilaterally cancelled and he had to run home to call and get additional instructions from Muqtada Al Sad'r. He also did not want to be seen with the King of Jordan and Dubyah in photographs, because the two of them had worked together to take down Shiite militant Mullahs in the past.
Al Maliki is more worried about the Saudis than he is about the USA.
