I would not want to be an Iranian seaman if hostilities break out with the United States.
Due to the shallowness and narrowness of the Gulf as well as "home field advantage", the Iranians have the upper hand if it came down to a naval engagement. It would be wise to tread there with caution.
Within 30 days, oil would be flowing through the straight and Iran will have lost its air Force, Navy and all ability to project conventional power beyond their borders.
I hope we have many PAC3's around the terminals of the Gulf states etc. The Iranians WOULD strike those, with all they had.
If we are forced to destroy Iran's nuclear facilities, and I believe we will be, we must then carry out a sustained bombing campaign that will make all previous air campaigns look meek by comparison. Iran's air defense systems, air force, navy, police stations, weapons and ammunition storage depots, and all other military infrastructure must be completely destroyed so that Iran cannot resume its interference in the Gulf and in Iraq. Iran is an evil power; it is pure folly to ignore the threat it represents to civilization and democracy. Iran under the mullah theocracy has been the leading exporter of terror; it cannot be allowed to become a nuclear power. If we strike the mullahs, we must destroy there terror-making capabilities. We cannot make them martyrs and leaders of the radical Islamic terror movement, aligned with North Korea and Chavez in Venezuela.
American Navy: Iranian navy will feel a strategic sinking
Lessons learned....
to Iran: not losing is victory....
to Iran: getting your @ss kicked doesn't count if you can still walk.....
for US bleeding heart liberals: Political Correctness, negotiating out of sympathy, and actually believing that "an enemy who you let walk off of the battle field will recognize that he is defeated" only shows your weakness, and encourages future attacks......
The question is, who has learned these lessons?
Whoever gains air superiority and holds it wins. The Iranian army and navy is only as good as its air force and air defense weapons. Any plan to attack Iran will begin with destroying these forces.
This guy must be getting his talking points from "Baghdad Bob"....
Please God, give us the strength and fortitude to destroy these Satanic b@st@ards before they do some real damage to the good people of this Earth, Your greatest Creation. Amen.
As Gomer said it
Surprise Surprise Surprise
The Iranian navy is gonna get a big surprise if they try anything.
Shove it, mullahs.
My older brother was the chief engineer of a navy carrier on patrol in the Persian Gulf several years ago. He has told me the Iranian Navy is rusting in port. They rarely sent out patrols and would immediately return to Iranian waters if they were ever challenged. The iranians are like the rest of the moos, they are full of hot air and only understand a good smackdown.
Read all about it:

90,000 tons of diplomacy.
Look, there aint a sub in the gulf that we dont have an ID on, and if the word is given, each of them will blow up within minutes of each other.
I think it is natural for people to assume that while the enemy prepares, that our forces are just standing still, but it is a stupid assumption.
Our Navy has stuff you wont even hear about for years. I can tell you this much, it will be a surprise if Iran so much as gets a shot off against our Navy, should we decide to go after them. You have to understand eventually, that the reason there is so much bluster coming out of Iran, is because they hope to dissuade us from attacking them through public sentiment.
When you carry the big stick, you don't have to talk about it to the media. Be clear about this, if the order is given, the U.S. Navy will kick the living shit out of Iran.
I guess Iran was jealous that Iraq got to witness shock and awe, and they want ot experience that for themselves- they may just get their wish- only this time I don't think we'll be so politicall correct and stop before we should. http://sacredscoop.com

Hopefully, these brave all-knowing Iranian ships will attack the U.S. Navy very, very soon. I'm sure the Iranians will prevail. /S off
