For all the bravado being tossed around on FR, I seriously doubt any of those who spout it will have to face such serious risks. Those missiles are no joke.I think some of that bravado comes from knowing we aren't going to go waltzing into range of those missiles with a sign on our sterns saying "shoot me."

Their recon assets are very weak. You cannot shoot when you don't know where to aim.

One sunk US ship with the large casualty count that entails will have the US media waving the white flag. Oh yea, "Remember the Maine"

I guess Iran was jealous that Iraq got to witness shock and awe, and they want ot experience that for themselves- they may just get their wish- only this time I don't think we'll be so politicall correct and stop before we should. http://sacredscoop.com

Why would the Iranians have the home field advantage? With our bases at Bahrain and the carriers just outside the Gulf, as well as friendly landing strips in Iraq, we have just as intimate a knowledge of the Gulf as they. We have more units in the Gulf than they. We have Predators and Global Hawk to detect units being assembled for attacks. We have Task Force 160 in the Gulf itself watching for smuggling weapons into Iraq. With an alert commander -- no Kimmels or Shorts here! -- we can stop their "surprise" cold.

Someone posted that Iran had many electric boats. Sorry, they have a few and they are all make out of steel. They will be playing in shallow water and we can detect a mass of steel in shallow water. We do not have to put our boats at risk. We will use aircraft to find them and missiles to kill them.
It takes awhile for our miserable surrender politicians to pull their heads out of their butts and get their noses inserted into military operations. We need a plan that will kill the snake quickly with a mass amount of power and devastation.
Then we can stand back and say whoops, well maybe we shouldn't have done that. We are so sorry about the leaks from your nonexistent nuclear shops. We will be back in about 10 years for a replay. Try not to glow in the dark while we are gone.

I would not want to be an Iranian seaman if hostilities break out with the United States.
There was a reason why most of the Iraqi armed forces gave up without a fight during the invasion.
The Iranians will find out what that reason is soon enough.

Hopefully, these brave all-knowing Iranian ships will attack the U.S. Navy very, very soon. I'm sure the Iranians will prevail. /S off

I'd be real surprised if the U.S. didn't have several geo-synchronous satellites above Iran collecting data 24/7 and running that data into computers and past analysts. We probably have much better and detailed maps of Iran than the Mullahs and Imams have.

Well the Iranian terrorist regime will be very unpleasantly surprised when we go to war with them.

One question, does everyone think that the Iranian response will be limited to the region?
I think that as soon as we start hitting the Iranian nuclear sites, they will start suicide operations here. How do you think the MSM will react if people start exploding in malls across the country?

This time around the F-22 Raptor will be in use for the first time in warfare.
I am sure the F-22 can take them out with no problem.
