The last couple of years have taught me that I am willing to pay a few extra bucks to *not* endure the "WalMart shopping experience".
Walmart, killing the middle class, long live cheap imported crap, long live slave wages!
" I defend Wal-Mart because they are one of the very few companies that can afford the risk of opening a store in a blighted inner city neighborhood.
Most chain stores have pulled out of the inner city namely Jewel and Dominick food stores. Most of these stores were operating at a loss but political pressure kept them open. "

Obviously SOME people didn't mind the idea of working for WalMart."

all I know is that my local Walmart didn't decorate for Christmas, there are no "Holiday" signs, greenery or anything to make it look alot like Christmas.
When I said "Merry Christmas" to the checker, she said "you too"
Well that isn't good enough for my Christmas dollars. I'm not shopping at that Walmart this Christmas season.
If they want my Christmas dollars, they can wish me a Merry Christmas.
The assistant manager said they can't make them say anything to me......... oh like they don't make they say, have a nice day?
I like Wal-Mart. I'm more than willing to post (at any time) my weekly Wal-Mart shopping list made up entirely of items ALL 'Made In America.' :)
61,000 American suppliers to Wal-Mart and people can't find something Made in America? Must be the product of Publik Edukashun leaving them unable to read a product label, LOL!
It is like any business. The employees are usually only as good as the management. Our Wal-Mart is decorated for Christmas and depending on the cashier- usually very friendly.
I recently took a part-time job at Sam's Club while I am finishing up my degree. It is a real eye opener. I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience so far. I have worked there for about two months. All of my business classes taught the Wal-Mart model and I wanted to see it first hand.
