George F. Will: What a tangled Webb Jim wove
Omaha World Herald ^ | Dec 3, 2006 | George Will

Washington has a way of quickly acculturating people, especially those who are most susceptible to derangement by the derivative dignity of office. But Jim Webb, Democratic U.S. senator-elect from Virginia, has become a pompous poseur and an abuser of the English language before actually becoming a senator.

Does anyone know anything about Webb's wife?

Webb is the kind of guy who no American woman would put up with. He is the kind of guy who has nothing for women and their opinions. He would want a docile wife.
I saw a picture of his wife and she looks like the mail-order-bride type.
I could be wrong though.

Enough.

You can't explain what change you'd like to see implemented in Iraq or why you voted for Webb, then posting to you is simply a waste of my time.

Thanks for playing...but now it's time for you to pick up your marbles and go away.

You're right. You've gotten what you're going to get. I want a change. What went into my decision to vote for Webb? Not sure. Your going to have to live with it.

I never saw her. He didn't bring her around to the Pentagon as far as I knew or heard at the time. Honestly, I never even thought of him as married. It just didn't fit in with his persona.

What a perv.

He's willing to sacrifice every American's safety, even his own son's, to benefit his and his bosses political ambitions.
The more GIs suffer the better his party's chances in 2008.

Even the liberals who put him in office should be ashamed.

Yep. If there is one service Kerry has provided his country, you just described it. He has provided widely observed living proof that one can be a decorated military veteran and still be a totally clueless a$$hole. He ranked dead last on a list of twenty '08 potentials in a recent poll.

I think Webb will join Kerry's ranking in the publics' view of his service.

I'm going to summarize what we've learned to this point.

Leadpenny voted for Webb because he didn't like the way the Iraq war is being prosecuted, even though Webb has made no mention on what he'd do differently other than 'bring the troops home'.

As stated earlier, this is not a 'plan' but a 'goal'. This is the same as me saying 'I'm for peace on Earth' yet not knowing the first thing about how to get there.

I think the saddest part of this all is that no matter how ignorant on the facts a person is, their vote is still equal to mine.

Good luck with that vote Leadpenny. I hope it brings you the peace and "change" you think you purchased. The rest of us will still carry your deadweight in actually seeing that peace is achieved.

Please, stay if you like. From your posts it sounds like you really do have a lot to learn. Just leave me out of your education.

Thanks so much.

Example. Duke Cuningham. A REAL Hero in Vietnam.
But a great example of what corruption and personal flaws can
do to a man over time.

Webb's plan for Iraq is to insult the president about it by verbally abusing him.

Yep. That'll work.

I think the saddest part of this all is that no matter how ignorant on the facts a person is, their vote is still equal to mine.

Voters who don't know what they want or who they are voting for, IMHO, are more than "sad"...they're frightening.

Learn how to ping the person you are talking about.

Dead weight? I got your dead weight swinging.

Then don't tell us who you voted for if you can't explain it.

And you and you alone are responsible for your vote. If you don't know why the hell you're voting for a person, then you shouldn't vote.

Exposed as somebody too ignorant to be allowed to vote and as somebody who doesn't know when to lay down his shovel.

I earned my right to vote by turning 18 a very long time ago and by serving this country for over 20 years in the US Army, two of which were spent carrying your "deadweight" in Vietnam. The last time I checked, I don't need to have a reason for or how I vote. If you want to learn something, learn how to respect that.

Webb is beyond disgusting.

Webb's thuggish behavior and brazen egocentric personality are but two of the reasons I despise Democraps.

The fact that Webb didn't even have the human decency to say to GWB, "my boy's fine" is the clearest example yet of why these mongrels are NOT acceptable to govern human affairs.

It just makes my blood boil. If the roles were reversed (GOP and Dem), the headlines across the nation would have been 'GOP Candidate Insults, Threatens President'

This gutter snipe makes me more determined than ever to keep volunteering for the party of decency, the GOP, (95-percent anyway), through 2008 and beyond.

I just hope the GOP isn't SO decent and 'civilized' that they are reluctant to fight back hard at these thugs.

How many times has GWB just stood by silent while a crazed Democrap dished out insult after mudball insult.

Methinks the public in general begins to view candidates as wimps if they repeatedly fail to defend themselves, their party, or their policies.
