Here is a no-registration link. Thanks to the Freeper who mentioned Townhall.com (they have a lot of good columns there, but snakes alive! What a horrible website to navigate. Did they get into Ted Kennedy's liquore cabinet before designing that thing??)

http://www.townhall.com/Columnists/GeorgeWill/2006/11/30/a_tangled_webb

You could also get an anonymous registration for the original link by going to bugmenot.com. Remember that the MSM does not wish us well... I don't trust their websites and registration schemes.

Plenty of other sources besides Wikipedia.

Needs some help doing a search?

Awesome post! You know because of Murtha and others it can be so embarassing hearing that they are heroes. The military is exactly like any other area of life. In my almost 20 years in the Navy, there are people that I have served for or with that I would not want being anywhere near politics. I am glad that Americans are finally waking up to the fact that just because you served in the military it does not make you a Saint, God, or President of the U.S. or any other office. Your post helps that reality to be set.

The biggest thing on his resume was serving as Reagan's Secretary of the Navy. How did he get that? He was very anal even then. He was a class mate of Ollie North at Annapolis, and heavily opposed Ollie's run for Senate. Too bad Ollie did not repay the favor. He probably figured the MSM would turn it into a plus for Webb.

Better get your finances in order. The next terrorist attack is not far off.

In particular, voters in Northern Va. need to be shown that there is some sort of a price tag for electing a clown like this to the US senate.

People change, and not always for the better!

Webb is dangerous to this country. Sad how a man that has served his country so well, could turn.

Thanks for the link and pointing to the link.

Why fret George? It's just a matter of time before Webb will become a nuanced, clear speaker in the fashion of Kerry or Clinton. He was a member of the Armed Forces. He is a rising star Democrat and not your John Murtha type.

Interesting turn of words in title. Couldn't help notice because of the outing I gave to Jim Webb on the George Allen site awhile back. "Jimmy I hardly knew ya, what a wicked Webb." It was about my efforts back twenty years ago to out the imposter I saw back then as a liberal, but it was a tough sell, when his credentials oozed with self proclaimed heroism.

His performance as of late is precisely keeping in form with what he was back then.

Beats me, but I suspect VA is getting a lot of transplants from blue states.

I think you will find the problem being that the DC suburbs have now bled across the state as far south as Fredericksburg. Thes are all bureaucrats of one sort or other and the majority are dims. They elected Kane and now this a$$hat.

For starters, his election gave control to the Democrats.

Regardless of whether or not you think Webb is a 'Moderate', it is the Liberal members of his party who now have the leadership roles and committee chairs in the Senate.

It's amazing that some of you people can seem to see the forest through the trees.

Yeesh.

/Anybody who uses Wikipedia as a primary source is intellectually lazy. Political entries are often "cited" to partisan sites, to give it credibility and to prevent the entry's rejection.

My vote for Webb was one of over 7000 that put him in the Senate, but it was the only way I had to vote against the conduct of the war in Iraq.

As for depending on any one site for a source for anything is no more likely than me depending on you as a single source.

Good luck with this. No. VA voters put this guy in office. They love him.

How do you want/expect the conduct of the war in Iraq to now change?

Too bad you didn't seem to use that discretion on Election Day.

What was Webb's plan for Iraq again?
