Another typical race card, pro-illegal immigration over-reaction by the ACLU.
The American Civil Liberties Union has sued the State Police seeking the release of a videotape that shows a traffic stop involving illegal immigrants. The videotape shows the first five minutes of a 70-minute stop on Interstate 95 in July by a trooper who pulled over a van with 14 Guatemalan immigrants after the driver failed to use a turn signal.
Trooper Thomas Chabot detained the 14 people and brought them to Immigration and Customs Enforcement headquarters in Providence, where they now face deportation. An internal investigation reported that Chabot acted appropriately.

The ACLU is an organization devoted to the destruction of America. That's being kind.
To: Jay777
The ACLU should be considered a hostile organization and be snuffed just like ELF is being snuffed.

"The ACLU, in a statement, said there are questions, including "why the trooper, who was on speed radar patrol, chose to leave his post to pull over the driver of this particular vehicle, whose only infraction was failing to use a turn signal, not speeding."
Wow! The ACLU is really getting desperate.

We really need to find a way to stop taxpayer dollars from going to them.

I know O'Reilly thought we might have a case when one of Lamont's brochures had an ACLU endorsement on it. But some talking atty said no, probably not. That I didn't understand. Seems to me if any candidate actually receives an endorsement, that would be enough to support a suit against the ACLU.

Yes, I've been under the impression that when you commit a traffic infraction in front of a cop, they pull you over. Are we wrong? I didn't get a memo.

The ACLU would. So who would the ACLU lawyers call if some illegal was breaking into their house, I wonder? The police? And wouldn't they want them to do their police job? Hypocrites!!

I hope the ACLU is given the bill for all the court costs for every person who's time they wasted -- and the 'hours' billed' as these mercenary lawyers do -- 600 dollars an hour for one page copying by an clerical assistant etc...
The lawyers should be held until the bill is paid (and charged for their stay at full price).
If they were to pass a law that lawyers suing like this could only earn $1 total for the case (and no possibility of settlement from the perps) the ACLU would wither away in no time at all.

Deport the ACLU scum along with the illegal immigrants

Mike Dukakis had Willie Horton.
Does the ACLU have anyone they could be given credit for?
My political naivete swinging in the breeze...has anyone ever set out to prove how un/anti-American they really are?

The ACLU is out of touch with the American public that they don't realize it is very common for police to pull over drivers for not using a turn signal. I know a lot of people who got pulled over not using a turn signal and nothing is racist about that.
To: sig226
I say give Trooper Tom Chabot a promotion and a pay raise.
To: YoungSoutherner
So do I. There is nothing racist about anything the cop did.
