What happened, the gay bishop finally normalize the 10th and final commandment and decide that one wasn't really sin either? That's what pushed you over the edge? The Episcopal Church Diocese of San Joaquin has many qualities, but slow is not among them. They have been at the forefront opposing the liberalization of the church. Bishop John-David Schofield has not altered his stance in the 15 or so years since I first met with him. Neither the bishop nor the diocese are deserving of criticism for the long battles they have waged. They are weighed down in yet another battle now that will shape the future of the church in our nation, and may well in-turn help shape the future of our nation.
