Jihad Video Encourages Bombings
Blow yourself up for the new year. From Israel Today, with thanks to James:

An Islamic website featured a three-minute video entitled, “Blow Yourself Up.”
The video shows a bomber reading his suicide note, vowing “that you [the Israeli ‘occupiers’] will not live in peace and that martyrdom [operations] will continue until you return to your homes, defeated and humiliated.”

The bomber then blows himself up as images of mangled bodies lay all around. “We have watered the soil with the blood of the martyrs, we have not withheld [our] blood from the soil,” the video reads. It closes with footage of the 9/11 attacks.

"Calif. Police Kill Suspect in Officers' Shooting"
Updated: December 29th, 2006 02:51 PM EDT

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Walters said Gallegos had a pistol with a laser-sight and two extra ammunition magazines in his pocket.

Before yesterday's shootout, Long Beach police and city officials announced a $75,000 reward for information leading to Gallegos' arrest.

Batts called Gallegos a "known thug" with a rap sheet dating back to 1990, when he was arrested for a firearms violation. He has also been arrested for drug offenses, making terrorist threats and assault with a deadly weapon. He has also been deported three times.

Batts said the wounded officers were doing well.

"Their recovery looks good," he said. "Our prayers are with them. They still have a battle to fight. They have some very serious injuries, but they're up, they're talking."

Anyone interested in making a donation to aid the officers and their families can send them to: Widows and Orphans Fund, Long Beach Police Officers Association, 2865 Temple Ave., Long Beach, Calif. 90755."
