TOKYO, November 30 (Itar-Tass) - Director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohamed ElBaradei said that real aims of the Iranian programme for uranium enrichment are unclear for him as before. ElBaradei expressed this viewpoint, delivering a lecture at Tokyo Industrial University on Thursday.

"As for the nature of the Iranian nuclear programme, it is still questionable," he said.

The IAEA chief emphasized at the same time that "any actions, connected with uranium enrichment and isolation of plutonium, should be made under international control".

ElBaradei is in Japan as a guest of the Foreign Ministry. While meeting Foreign Minister Taro Aso, the sides discussed Pyongyang’s nuclear problem in the light of the nuclear test, made by it in October.

Aso called on the IAEA to take more vigorous measures with respect to North Korea with a view to the earliest resumption of the six-party dialogue, aimed at dismantling the North Korean nuclear programme.

According to Aso, Tokyo will never recognize Pyongyang’s position, which is ready to return to the negotiating table only as "a nuclear power" and without a promise to abandon nuclear development studies.

ElBaradei expressed readiness "to work with North Korea for settling the problem".

"This would help to use the IAEA’s control possibilities so as to convince the international community in the totally peaceful direction of North Korean nuclear development studies," ElBaradei said.

The director-general also stated that he was "glad to hear news" on achieving an understanding between the five participants in the talks – Washington, Beijing, Moscow, Seoul and Tokyo – to resume joint attempts at resolving the North Korean nuclear problem.

This is the perfect example of Chamberlinism at it's best. The blood of millions will be on his and the other "enablers" hands when Iran nukes Israel.

Where do they find these morons?

A country sitting on oil, but lacking refinery capacity, finds it cheaper to develope a nuclear program "For Energy" than it does to build refineries.

Sure.

OH!

...Mohamed ElBaradei

Never Mind, I get it.

Evidently has his head stuck in the sand - or in a somewhat darker and tighter spot.
