Thank you for opening the doors for the weekend thread for us GeeBee..and busy lady you will be the next few weeks. A big thank you!
all.. I have been working on this almost a year & it keeps getting put on back burner. Here is what I have so far. Many of the pix I took personally. Many are just from "here & there" at FR, If your pix is here, I have found you joining us at the Finest & I thank you for visiting with us & being our friends.
Cant find your pix??? I AM NOT MAD AT YOU.. just prolly do NOT have your pix.
If you would like to have your pix included, please send it to me!!!! I will need the URL and if it is a group shot, I can crop you out.. (just let me know which one you are.)
IF, you don't know how to make it into a link you can send me the email pix, contact me if you don't already have my email & I will get it to you. I wont be including anyone who has been with FR for less than a few months w/o posting history (I mean I wont give you my email addy!)
As you note there are NO names included.. just your pix. The host/hostesses are across the top of pic however

DollyCali, this is regarding yesterday's Finest: Someday, somehow, you'll have to reveal to us how you do it -- how you OUTDO yourself, given you do it every time! AWESOME WORK, my friend. Haven't scrolled through the replies, thanks to my absolutely nutty schedule, but I want to thank y'all, in advance, for dropping by. Sorry for the driveby here -- I see this thread has been up for a while and I didn't want to bump the older one. Thanks again, and thank you, Billie AND GodBlessUSA, for all you do, my friends :-) Have a great day, have a great weekend, and 'see' y'all soon.

Christmas Spirit
READ:
Philippians 2:1-11Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:5
How would you define the Christmas spirit? Would it be a friendly smile between strangers, the sound of familiar carols, a tree with twinkling lights in a sea of brightly wrapped packages, or just that good feeling you get this time of the year?
None of these elements captures the real meaning of the phrase. They represent feelings that may be a response to the commercialism that distorts the real spirit of Christmas.
J. I. Packer goes to the heart of this matter in his book Knowing God. He writes, We talk glibly of the Christmas spirit, rarely meaning more by this than sentimental jollity . . . . It ought to mean the reproducing in human lives of the [temperament] of Him who for our sakes became poor, . . . the spirit of those who, like their Master, live their whole lives on the principle of making themselves poorspending and being spentto enrich their fellowmen, giving time, thought, care, and concern to do good to others . . . in whatever way there seems need.
In Philippians 2, Paul described the God of heaven and earth as laying aside His divine glory and becoming our servant by dying on the cross for our sins. Then he urged us to duplicate that same mind of humble service to others. Thats the true Christmas spirit. Dennis J. De Haan
If we look beyond the manger
To the cross of Calvary,
We will know the reason Christmas
Brings such joy to you and me. D. De Haan
