Which is why our Lord sent His only begotten son to pay for our sins and provide us with a path to His Kingdom. The words of Jesus teach us much about the tolerence of God, and that he will allow us to repent our sins. While the New Testament doesn't remove the teachings of our Lord in the Old Testament, we are afforded our Lord's generosity from it. No, he's no pushover. And those who continue to live their lives in sin will pay for that dearly. But God has provided us with a means of redemption if we but accept Jesus as our Savior.

Hey, I always think that Lost will end up being a weird dream Tim McManus is having after being pragged by Adebisi...only for McManus to wake up and realize he was married to Claire Howell (that real brutal female guard who accused McManus of sexual harassment).

... and then he finds out that Chris Keller and Shirley Bellinger are NYPD detectives, Fr. Mukuda and Vern Shillinger are both government pshrinks, and just about every other actor from "Oz" has been either a witness or a suspect or a lawyer at one time or other.

Tom Fontana, the creator of "Oz" and "Homicide," and Dick Wolf, the creator of the "Law & Order" franchise, are close friends. They like a lot of the same actors. I can't think of many Oz cast members who haven't appeared on one L&O show or another. "Lost" seems to be keeping some of the same folks gainfully employed.

I agree that these people should not be given any type of forum for their lunacy. Those who have had them on these talk shows should be ashamed of themselves for promoting their hateful views. Putting them on the air for ratings shows no class IMHO. Unfortunately, the MSM is not ignoring these people, and as you've pointed out, giving them these platforms only helps them rather than hurts them. If the LSM would just report what they do as just another piece of news, and not provide the huge attention they've given to them, then I think the rest of America would see this for what it is. That's why I have vast respect for the Patriot Guard Riders and their resolve to confront, but not engage. They're not only doing the right thing, but doing it the right way.

I concur completely. Standing silently providing a visual shield against these lunes without reacting is the best thing to do. I'm glad to know that these nutcases have not been able to recruit many from outside their cult. I hope it stays that way. I fear, though, that people like Cindy Sheehan or Code Pink might use them for their own agendas, and join their sick parade. Those people also have no shame and would do anything that would further their goals to bring down our President.

Which is why our Lord sent His only begotten son to pay for our sins

Odd, I remember Jesus firmly supporting penalities (even death penalities) for sins. Even to the chargrim of many Christians Jesus scolded the Pharisies for not obeying the laws of old (put children that curse their parents to death).

I remember that you shouldn't get out of "jail" until you pay the last penny.

I remember the converted man on the cross saying he was JUSTLY punished for his crimes and not being overruled by Jesus whatsoever..

There is laws to be upheld here on earth, and just because Jesus forgives you (marks you book clear) in heaven does not mean that your sins are not to be punished (and justly) on Earth.

Jesus affirmed the Mosaic Law even to the keeping of the "least of these commandments" (Mat. 5:17-19).

* "Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? For God commanded, saying... `He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.' But you say..." Mat. 15:3-4

* "For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men..." [Jesus] said to them, "All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your mother; and 'He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.' But you say..." Mark 7:8-11

Christ said, "because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold" (Mat. 24:12)

* "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets... Till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great..." Mat. 5:17-19

I don't plan on teaching breaking commandments...

Some argue that all this changed after the resurrection. Yet after His resurrection, Jesus said:

* "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you." Mat. 28:19-20

Lets also let Paul explain about homosexuals in the scope of the article we are on...

* But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless... and for sinners... for murderers... for sodomites, for kidnappers, for perjurers... 1 Tim. 1:8-10

Thanks for your time sir... just posting things as I seem them... and trying to back them up with scripture.

These folks are probably a bunch of atheists who masquerade as Christians to give Christians a bad name.

You would be correct.

There are no juries involved in civil suits, which is how these thugs make their money. Juries are for criminal cases.

You are right. There was some talk about a group to confront these folks in Huntsville. I think the group was the Patriot Riders motorcycle club. This group regularly offers to keep the protestors from funeral sites. A friend of mine with connections to this group told me that the Huntsville families declined the offer. The Patriot Riders will not intervene without approval of the families.

That said, my friend also informed me of a terrible coincidence at this groups protest in Huntsville. He could not confirm that this actually happened but said that this was his understanding of what happened.

As you're probably aware, the protestors were granted a permit by the city. The permit confined them to a specific location about two blocks from the church where the services were held. It also limited the protestors to a very small number (10 I think).

Any way, my friend says that just before the family arrived, two large buses just happened to break down adjacent to the protest site. As things would happen, these broken down buses completely blocked the view between the protestors and the families. As I understand, there were heroic efforts to get the buses repaired and moved. Despite the best efforts of all involved, it proved impossible to move the buses until after the services concluded and the families had left the area. I also understand that the mechanical malfunctions caused the engines of the buses to be especially loud which had the unfortunate effect of preventing the voices of the protestors being heard.

As I'm sure you are aware, we here in Alabama fully support freedom of speech and the right to protest. We deeply regret these unfortunate circumstances that precluded the Wesburo church from fully realizing these rights.

As I said, I have no first hand knowledge of the facts of this matter and I was not in any way involved.

Thanks for the ping.

Hopefully, someone will do some deep research into who funds this group.

I just get the feeling that George $oreA$$ is funding them via one of his phoney non profits.

Years ago during the 2004 election, I think we had one of these vile sobs on FR. Hesheit called GW the antichrist. I told him that if I ever found out what church he attended, I would turn them into the IRS. He stopped posting shortly after that.
