This has nothing to do with the homosexual agenda and everything to do with someone VERY crazy. I'd rather have coffee with 100 gays than one of these people. This guy is TERRIBLE.... he pretends like he is a Christian. He doesn't act very much like I suppose Jesus would. Jesus hates homosexual ACTIVITY, but Jesus still loves lost "fags". Jesus WOULD NOT protest our military funerals.

I've met several "Homosexuals". While I don't agree with their lifestyle, they have all been very nice people who cause no one harm and are productive members of the communities in which they live. I agree with you that Jesus would "hate their behavior" but not the person. The Phelps have taken a very small number of bible versus and "bastardized" them to fit their sick agenda. My comfort is that Jesus will have the ultimate final word on their behavior. In the meantime every American who loves the men and women who fight and defend our freedoms should stand as a wall against these cretins at any funeral of a hero they show up at. If there are any funerals close enough to where I live that these people might show up at I will be there.
Thanks I'll try and catch up on it. I don't watch but maybe 5-10 minutes a day of TV and I haven't followed it as close as Phelps but I do know about some of it. I am not their fan believe me.
I've helped lay quite a few vets to their eternal rest and helped dug quite a few of their graves too. It was back in another era of respect and tradition that is now gone. A full honors ceremony is something every American needs to see at least once. Unless you've seen it you can't fully understand it's significance. I don't mean necessarily a KIA one but rather the traditional respect that used to be given to all vets at their passing. A part of American tradition is no more.

I agree with you. I don't like the activity of the homosexual at all. That is for God to decide. But like you, I know some homosexuals who are fine as people (just lost).
But these people are HORRIBLE beyond belief. I can't believe they would protest our fallen troops, what wretched hearts they have.
As others have mentioned, it is, and it's also airing irregularly on the Sci-Fi channel. After the series was cancelled, creator Joss Whedon (the same guy behind Buffy and Angel) wrapped up the story line with a theatrical movie, Serenity.
One of my favorite things about Shepherd Book is that he seems to know all about government black ops, for reasons that are never explained. The closest they get to explaining that:

I don't think there are any brainwashed members in this "cult". I think they are all liberals that know exactly what they are doing. Their intent is to ridicule Christians and protest the war and our government. Now, it's probably a fact that most of these people are mentally ill, but none of them are brainwashed.

Hell, I can prove it---the only time in my memory that the ACLU has gotten involved with defending any domestic religion it was with THESE people some months ago--they wanted to get physically CLOSER to the military funerals, rather than stay, I think it was , 300 yards away, and the ACLU intervened on their behalf in court.
They're the only places the federal government has jurisdiction. Several states have adopted similar restrictions that are more broadly applicable. I think they'll hold up to court scrutiny, because the courts have long accepted "time, place and manner" restrictions on the exercise of first-amendment rights.
The Patriot Guard Riders have, I think, exactly the right approach -- they put themselves between the mourners and the Phelpsholes' abuse, which they answer with engine noise or dignified silence. Don't be goaded into beating the ever-loving crap out of them -- they count on civil settlements to fund their sick little crusade.
I don't remember the last good Oz reference around here. I think making Phelps Simon Adibeisi's cellmate might be even more fun.
I can't agree that the children who've grown up under this cult's belief system have not been brainwashed and manipulated by their elders. The adults, yes, they are guilty. But the children have been victimized.
