WASHINGTON Florida Gov. Jeb Bush called a Colorado congressman "a nut" Wednesday after the fellow Republican likened Miami to a Third World country.

Actually, Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York are pretty much gone, demographically...
Gone how? All of those cities are booming right now.
Persception is entirely different from that which is actually said. Usually it is journalists who utilize persception in tearing down those they don't agree with.
In point of fact Miami is a city within the U.S. My perception is correct in that regard.
So is Minot, North Dakota. Perceive that.
So is Minot, North Dakota. Perceive that.
Right. No argument.
Jeb Bush is resorting to name calling just because somebody has a different view of Miami and he is unable to come up with effective counterargument. How pathetic of Jeb. Having been to Miami on a number of times on business, I have to agree with Tancredo and others who are crticial of this city.
Gone in the sense that they are completely overrun with foreign nationals who entered our country illegally; by the design, and with the complicity of, our elected "leaders."
You do understand the cultural, economic and electoral ramifications of that, right?
The different point of view was expressed as a pejorative. It was just bad manners.
NYC developers are selling a lot of $10 million condos to those foreign nationals.
These are America's "international cities." They have always relied heavily on international trade and business.
However, if by over-run, you mean by poor immigrants, then you can look at history and see they have always had poor immigrants -- with the exception of Miami, which is too new to have much of a track record.
Historically, those "poor immigrants" were LEGAL immigrants from countries with cultures that were compatible with American republicanism.
I'd be careful about angering Tom. His next statement about Miami will be a threat to nuke it.

The Chinese on the West Coast? How about the Irish on the East Coast?

You mean like England, Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, China, Japan, Greece, Mexico, Scotland, Wales, Prussia, and Hungary? Do you realize ONLY TWO of those countries were Republics - France and Mexico - until at least the 20th Century? The rest were all monarchies.
Generally speaking, having to clean dead santeria-related chickens off the steps of a county courthouse is not a sign of being in the First World. More background on Miami here:

Joan Didion even wrote a book about the city, which was described as following their "drift into a Third World capital".
Whoops. My bad...but my opinion of WorldNetDaily still stands, lol!
I said compatible cultures, not political systems.
Only a class act can admit a mistake. Thank you.
bbbwwwwaaaahhhhh!
Nope.
Isn't Jeb's wife Columbian?
