Why does Webb need a spokeswoman? Isn't he MAN enough to speak for himself! Hey Jim, your son signed up and wasn't forced into the military. Also, what part of how is your son doing don't you understand! Anser the question asked! Another fine U.S. Government official! Let's buy the guy an inflatable punching bag to slam so he can release his anger. LMAO

He can visit the House every once in a while and get into fights with/against the other POS NoVa elected, Jim Moran. It might even make C-SPAN watchable.

If it were my father and I was serving my country in a war zone (which I have) I would come home and give him a lesson in what it means to help the military and not the enemy.

Speaking for myself, there are three adult counseling sessions that have really helped me, more than in just what they were for. One was a driver re-education course That the State of New Jersey forced me into, and turned out to be a real lifetime benefit I -- was hell on wells before and much better since. They taught me not just how to drive straight, but how to think straight. How to seperate my reasoning adult-in-command personality from my wild child and my vindicative "parent" personality.

The second was a pain-therapy series of sessions where the therapist taught pain management techniques that, most of them, anyway, if not all of them, are relaxation methods. Breathing, imaging, automatic suggstions. They are utterly mechnical to apply once trained and initially practised and can really lower the old internal tension level very quickly.

The third, well I guess it was anger management. And it did help reduce my explodability factor a few orders of magnitude. But it wasn't aimed directly at "managing anger" whatever that means. You can't manage anger any more than you can manage lightning.

What that counselor taught was how to communicate. How to listen and how to engage in a "directed" converstaion. How to converse in a way that makes sure both parties understand that the other party has heard and understood what each was saying. That has been a real help in my life.

And any one of those techniques would have saved Mr. Webb his most embarassing predicament, which surely embrasses not only himself (where that embarassment may be transformed into anger, for failure to admit it for what it is) and for his family, friends, co-workers and mostly for his own dear son. Every son is dear to a father, no matter who angry that father may be at times.
