One more terrorist attack in America and "profiling" will be the least of their worries.

How feasible is internment now? Where will the mobs stop? Will people like me (brown but red blooded) get it also?

For sure. One more 9/11 and it will get ugly. And a dysfunctional government can only blame itself for its own failures.

Profiling is just that...looking at a profile of a person. The persons appearance is one component of a profile i.e. color of skin, gender, age, ethnic traits etc. Profiling has been used successfully for years to target criminals especially drug "mules" and dealers. To not use profiling is akin to covering your ears and saying "I can't here you".
If people get killed because our "leaders" forced are LE to cover their ears, these "leaders" will be complicit in their deaths.

The whole imam thing was a setup. They deliberately acted suspiciously on that flight for some unknown reason.
Did they want to be thrown off? Probably. The big question is WHY.

What I would like to see is all airlines adopt the policy that if anyone - no matter the race, sex, or religious belief - is removed from a plane due to a disturbance they caused, they are never again allowed to fly on that airline.

The original six imams removed from the flight last week first attracted attention when they said prayers to Allah on traditional Muslim prayer rugs in the boarding area. After boarding, they changed seats, spreading themselves throughout the plane. They were also overheard spouting anti-American rhetoric. Witnesses said the six men appeared to be either Islamic fanatics or U.S. Army chaplains on leave from Guantanamo. What does this part even mean?
To: kellynla
One more terrorist attack in America and "profiling" will be the least of their worries. FReeper please. Should that happen, the media will be calling it an isolated incident and we just need to "understand" why muslims want to kill Americans. And it is likely the moslems will wait until the new Dem president (Hillary) is elected in '08 which will mean there will be a summit and France will get to weigh in on what the U.S. response should be when the next American-soil attack occurs.

After the attacks of 9/11, profiling Muslims is more like profiling the Klan. Sure, and if a Klan member is wearing a hood and robe your profiling works like a charm. If he's wearing blue jeans and a tee shirt you can't pick him out from everyone else. So how do you profile Muslims? They don't walk around with a big M tatooed on their forehead. What't the alteternative? Make every passenger eat a porkchop? Strip search everyone who isn't blond haired and blue eyed? How exactly would Coulter profile?

Hi,
Please stop linking to sources for her column other than www.anncoulter.com. Everyone else edits her and changes her wonderfully amusing title. The title for this one on Human Events BLOWS. The real title is 'Coulter Gets Results!'
Absolutely, they should be profiling Arabs, and anybody who has advocated violence against Americans or US government officials (oops, that includes Ann Coulter).

Profiling needs to be done.
But this thing that they did on the plane was for one reason: to give the newly-elected jihadist-sympathizer reason to introduce legislation to prohibit the exact kind of profiling that needs to be done.
