Time seems to be able to really pick-em. Looking at older choises we find Adolf Hitler, Ayatolla Khomeini among their brilliant choises

Bob Milligan? Charles Reynolds? Tom Eaker? Les Paul? Paxette Bonum?
A little help would be nice.

maybe fidel before he goes to red square utopia...

My understanding is that they go by who's been the most influential, whether for good or ill. I think Hitler and Khomeini qualify as "for ill".

Who is it?
FYI, they're not claiming their persons of the year are the best, just the most notable.

Maybe they'll make al-Zarqawi their man of the year.
He was evil. So was Hitler and others they admire.
Personally, I'm not impressed with evil nor do I admire brilliant EVIL people.

If he does he will be in PR heaven. It will only stiffen his back even though he's probably just a mouth piece for the Ayatolla.
