Isn't it interesting how the more they scream about 'global worming' the colder our climate gets, and the colder it gets, the louder they scream?

Was Al Gore in Seattle recently? Everywhere he goes, preaching the gospel of global warming, cold weather follows.

I don't necessarily agree with the premise of Global Warming but being sarcastic about unexpected, record cold-snaps only makes you look bad.  They're predicted to happen by the "Global Warning Model/Theory".

"Isn't it interesting how the more they scream about 'global worming' the colder our climate gets, and the colder it gets, the louder they scream?"

That's due to the fact that the political left, and envirals in particular, hold to the false premise that since they're yelling the loudest, that must mean they're correct.

My five-year-old daughter possesses more rationale.

Not here in Michigan. When I was a kid, it was wintertime by Thanksgiving. Now, we don't really get snow until after Christmas and the grass is still green at Thanksgiving. Our leaves used to fall in late September - now they fall in late October. I had to mow my lawn last week in Detroit. That was certainly not the case 20 or 30 years ago - I would have been shoveling snow.

There is no question that the climate has gotten warmer over the past 30 years - the debate is to WHY.

I believe (as most rational persons do) that it is merely another warming cycle in the natural order of things. But to say it isn't getting warmer is refusing to see reality. Of course there are always little ups and downs from year to year - but over the past 30 years it has definitely gotten warmer in Michigan.

It is 29 at the Bender Estate here in the South of Eureka and white as snow as far as the eye can see. It was so cold Mrs Bender put the garbage can out so she wouldn't have to listen to me whine.

The weather service says it's 38? on Humboldt Bay and we are only 3 miles south as the Sea Gulls fly...

That is because our warmest year was 1998. Ever since the temperature has been moderating. They have to get out in front of this before the people realize that the earth goes through cycles. If they can implement their draconian measure then they can take credit for saving us all from ourselves. If they miss the boat and the climate moderates on it owns they are screwed.

October 76-mid FEb 77 I was at Great Lakes RTC/NTC. Temperature one night off the mercury outside the baracks was estimated far below 30 below. We had a wind chill of minus 100 degrees. Back home in Tennessee lakes were freezing over.
