You're right--Global Warming^TM takes every normal weather phenomenon from hurricanes to scorching heat and numbing cold and turns them into doomsday scenarios. It's really breathtaking how they deftly foisted this scam onto the world's population.

With that in mind, the only true indicator of Global Warming^TM is beach-front real estate prices. Global Warming^TM predicts that ocean levels will rise and flood coastal cities. If this was imminent then you'd see a huge sell-off of beach-front property at bargain basement prices, which isn't happening. In fact, the trend seems to be the exact opposite.

The beauty (or evil) of the Global Warming crowd's argument is that all extremes are attributable to Global Warming. Record cold - global warming. Record heat - global warming. Drought - global warming. Record rain/floods - global warming. Many hurricanes - global warming. No hurricanes - global warming. To them, every extreme is created by global warming disruption. And, of course, global warming is created by the capitalist MAN!

Our five year old grandson is starting realized that his screaming doesn't change reality and may cause him to lose out re activities due to his behavior. His older and wiser 7 year old sister keeps telling him that screaming and yelling doesn't work with their parents or grand parents.

It may be getting warmer for your area, but mostly it is markedly cooler across the country.

I don't mean this week or next week - I mean in general. The entire country has gotten warmer. Certain trees and animals that only live in a narrow climate band have all moved north. We now have trees in Southern Michigan that only grew in Southern Ohio & Indiana 30 years ago. Trees that grew in mid Michigan are now growing in the Upper Peninsula. Growing seasons have lengthened all over the country. I have seen palm trees growing farther north than they ever have before.

Individual winters or summers will always fluctuate up and down - but the 30 year trend has definitely gotten warmer.

It is 29 at the Bender Estate here in the South of Eureka and white as snow as far as the eye can see. It was so cold Mrs Bender put the garbage can out so she wouldn't have to listen to me whine.

The idea of extreme weather patterns, including extreme and unseasonable cold, has been a part of the theory of global warming since day 1. The fluidic nature of the atmosphere dictates it.

Just like all the extreme hurricanes that all the Global warming theorist predicted for this year?

When scientist can predict the weather a week ahead of time, then I might have some confidence in their theories. The basic problem that I have right now is that none of the global warming theories and projections agree with proven black body radiation equations.

Thanks for the warning, and congrats on your brood finally "growing up". Yes, I can just see it now -- it's not going to be easy! But I myself was a "problem kid" when I was a teenager, and it took me to my mid-20s to get my head on straight. But we're all fixed now!
