That reminds me of a leftwing chatter in a political chatroom on another site. He was once talking about Vietnam era veterans. So I acted dumb and asked him what a Vietnam era veteran is. His reply was, that was someone who was in Vietnam. I told him that is not true. A vietnam era veterand served in the military during the war , but is not a vietnam war vet. Only those who were actually in nam are Vietnam veterans. My husband did 2 tours. Anyway with that logic you can say President Bush is a Vietnam veteran,and not a vietnam era veteran.
Hi Kaslin! My husband served also during that time and was stationed in Germany. He states that he is a Vietnam era Vet and his brother who was in theater is the Vietnam vet.
