Yes, right now a doctor can choose not to be a participating physician in Medicare (I work for a doctor in California who is a participating physician). One drawback of not being a participating physician is the money is sent to the patient to in turn pay the physician -- do you know how many elderly would get those checks and think it was manna from heaven and the doctor wouldn't get paid... that would be a nightmare if we had the same system nationalized and a doctor chose not to be participating.... but Hillary took care of that in her plan... doctor's had no choice....

BTW, there was someone on FOX this morning with latest polls showing CONSERVATIVES voted for dems because they felt dems wouldn't spend our money like the GOP (had been spending) and would lower our taxes. What in the world were these so-called Conservatives smoking to think the Dems wouldn't pass more spending programs in the name of socialism?

You got it brother! That'll be it for me too. Granted, I'll only be letting a dozen employees go, but I'm not going to be a small business owner -- getting screwed, an visit-based medicare provider taking a 5% cut this year -- getting screwed, and a taxpayer -- getting screwed. I like retail, and our local Quick-E-Mart pays just 12 bucks less than I make now, per hour. You can look me up, if you promise not to offer my god a peanut. (bad joke)

I always did want to open a quilt shop. If this goes through, I guess I have my opportunity.

I would like to open is a gun shop. I would like an indoor handgun range and an outdoor rifle range. I would have a women section with CCW purses and attire and all the designer color handguns. I would let the Boy Scouts, 4=H and such group use the range for free. I would do CCW classes. That would make me happy. I might even become a gunsmith. Go to the fancy gunsmith school in CO. I have thought about it.
