Would someone tie Charlie Rangel down and make him listen to the march "Comrades of the Legion" by John Philip Sousa, which was dedicated to the American Legion? Here is a 1920 piano transcription of it.

Sousa's march glorifies loyal courage. What does your raspy, whining voice glorify, Charlie Rangel? Don't you dare treat the American Legion request with disrespect! Don't you dare!

I don't like Charles Rangel, but I don't like the fact when my uncle (bronze star) passed away recently, no one from the Legion or VFW offered any military service at his funeral. He was not one to go to the club to buy cheap beer or play all the tickets that are available all day long. THAT is not what these organisations are supposed to be. I know better now.
