I gave a comment to his staffer this morning, and she was the perfect person to work for someone like Rangel. She didn't like my comment, nor did she understand that I'm her boss' boss.
Charles Rangel is untouchable. Charlie Rangel can be caught in bed with a dead boy, and he would still hold his job.

Great point. Truer words have never been spoken. He would claim that he was set up and his constituents would believe him.
Hell, if DC Mayor Marion Barry can get caught on tape smoking crack in the 80's and still get elected, anything is possible.
As Thomas Jefferson said (paraphrasing) "Democracy guarantees that people will get the government they deserve."
Rangel...Rangel...Rangel...
Seems he has a knack for getting himself in a tangle...
First he slams Mississippi, and now it's the military. I'm thinking Rangel best keep his insulting trap closed...
I grew up in Louisiana. Huey P. Long set the bar on political crimes and getting away with it.
The spitting on the Troop's faces has begun. Wait, John "I was in Nam, you know" Kerry spat first.
I suppose this jerk never heard of a man named Pat Tillman.
"As Thomas Jefferson said (paraphrasing) "Democracy guarantees that people will get the government they deserve."
How true - just take a look around...
Every time a new political scandal breaks...
Every time a senator is caught with his pants down around his ankles...
Every time a congressman says or does something stupid and offensive...
We're looking into a mirror and we don't like what we see.
The only difference between them and us is that everyone knows what they've done.
Makes sense to me, too. The last time Wrangle sponsored draft legislation, he voted against his own bill.
American Legion heads record challenged
2006/12
BOSTON - The national commander of the American Legion never served in Vietnam although he describes himself as a "Vietnam veteran," a newspaper reported Sunday.
Neither the federal government nor the 2.7 million-member American Legion makes a formal distinction between veterans who served in Vietnam and those known as "Vietnam-era" veterans.
The Legions top spokesman, Joe March, backed Morins position. He said any current service member stationed in the United States at present could claim to be an Iraq war veteran.
"For the national commander of the American Legion, who never even served in the Vietnam theater, to call himself a Vietnam veteran is a lie," said Cleland, who lost both legs and an arm during combat in Vietnam, and who has been a Legion member since 1969.
"When someone says he is a Vietnam veteran, it means he served in the theater of the war," Kelley said.
Morin is the superintendent of the Soldiers Home, a state-run facility in Holyoke for needy veterans. He took an unpaid leave to serve as leader of the American Legion.

We've been saying that at home for about two years now -- just let them have the microphone. Give them every opportunity to share their vision of America. Let them talk, talk, talk, talk, talk. Publish every syllable they utter. Don't edit a thing or shut the microphones off. Have at 'em, folks. Keep the ball rolling (same goes for down in Durham with Duke) shed the light on the story. Let the world see (and most of all, pray that the rest of America is tuned in).
