He just sounds really really stupid, not malicious. 40 seconds would not be long enough to produce the damage that required several days of hospitilization mentioned here. And, stupidity is not a sufficient enough reason to not know that placing a 10 month old in a freezer is dangerous. No, I'd be willing to wager the child was crying and he couldn't stand the noise - placing her in the freezer was a way to shut the child up. Horse whipping would be too good for this man.

I don't think it would take a very long time to give a feverish baby freezer burns if you placed her bare sweaty skin on the frozen blocks of meat in a freezer. She would probably stick to it in an instant and the damage would begin from the first couple of seconds.

Do the rules say anything about how McGilla Gorilla could be 1/2 the size of the Eiffel Tower in one scene and then comfortably be able to ride around in the back of a dune buggy or hang out in Mr. Peabody's shop in the next? That always sort of bothered me.

A local doctor said the mother had described her baby as "crying, sobbing and terrified."
Better put some ice on that.

Amen. Violence. Sexual assault. The panolopy of crimes - all seem to mention the mother and her boyfriend.

I haven't gotten to the section of the rule book on Magilla Gorilla's variable size.
It's right after the section on why Pluto acts like a dog, while all the other Disney critters act like people.

ICE ICE BABY, TOO COOL!
To: TheErnFormerlyKnownAsBig
Thanks for the ping. I'd never put an infant in the freezer to cool her down. I usually give her 30 seconds or so with a CO2 fire extinguisher. If you do it in the bathtub you can usually have the evidence cleaned up by the time the folks get home...

Reminds me of this lyric (circa approx 1989):
Like Sam the Butcher, bringing Alice the meat.
Like Fred Flinstone, driving around on bald feet.

What an idiot. You're supposed to put the baby in a plastic bag first.

Remnds me of a W.C> Fields line.
Mr. Fields, What do you think about children?
Fields: "They're okay if they're not overdone."

Hell, it's not that far from what would actually be done in the case of a high fever. I was put in a tub full of ice water (per advice of doctor) as a toddler with a raging fever. I howled like the damned too :-)

The problem is.. its also not far from what a guy would do to kill his girlfriend's kid in order to avoid getting stuck with child support.
He could have dialed 911.
