In some respects this is true. But, I don't agree all religions naturally lend themselves to terrorism. In the case of Christianity, for example, it is the misreading and ignorance of Scripture which may lead to fanaticism because of some (ignorant or otherwise) who purposefully lead the ignorant astray.
However, in the case of Islam, it is the literal rendering of the Koran and other Muslim scriptures themselves which leads to wholesale fanaticism, murder, slavery, and forced conversion to Islam.
There is a BIG difference here.
The fact all Muslims don't engage in terrorism or Jihad against the Infidel is not because they are religiously following their own scriptures. It's just the opposite. They are ignoring them, for whatever reason.
Gunpowder Plot 1605 -- oh those whacky Papists!
In a technical sense, John Brown (1800s) was a terrorist and motivated by Christianity.
Interesting to note that one of the most radical strains of Islam has its roots right here in the USA -- Colorado Springs, I believe.
Gritty got it.
