That's the problem. I'm no Biblical scholar, but all that stuff sounds like it came from the Old Testament. The New Testament taught us, on the other hand, to be peaceable. I don't know of any "New Testament" in Islam that teaches comparable things.

Christianity and before it Judaism has been blessed by a number of new covenants and reformations. Islam, if anything, is going backward. Not because of Islam, but because of the predominant Arab culture.
