Are you talking about the siege of Vienna in 1526 or the one in 1683? But almost the only one's fighting the Turks in the 16th Century were the Hapsburgs, and they were barely holding their own. The pope, the Spanish and the Venetians were the one's who stopped the Turks at Lepanto, while England and France held back. The French were the Allies of the Turks and in Germany Luther was dismissing the Turkish threat as a fiction devised by the pope to get money out of Germany.

Don't forget the Knights Hospitaller who were also at Lepanto and who singlehandedly saved Malta which guarded the gateway to the Western Mediterranean.
