NEW YORK (Reuters) - Yoko Ono, widow of slain Beatle John Lennon, issued a plea for forgiveness to the world's suffering people in a full page notice in Sunday's New York Times entitled "Forgive us."

Noting that the December 8 anniversary of her husband's murder at the hands of an assassin was approaching, Ono thanked the people from whom she hears each year, but said she wanted to send a message this year as well.

Directing her words to "people who have lost loved ones without cause," to "the soldiers of all countries and of all centuries," to civilians who were injured or killed and to "people who have been abused or tortured," Ono wrote "Know that your loss is our loss ... Know that the burden is ours," and asked "Forgive us."

"Know that your loss is our loss ... Know that the burden is ours,"

Except for the small fact that it's not whatsoever.

Otherwise, that's very insightful and really quite true. (Again, only but for being factually incorrect to its core....)

The first forgiveness she needs to ask for is giving the world The Plastic Ono Band.

Hollywood Leftist Ping!!!

"Sweet Loretta Modern" is an east coast leftist.

"Forgive us" - Yoko

Forgive her for her role in breaking up the Fab Four and refusing to "get back to where she once belonged?" Fahgetaboutit.

This is why December 8 is celebrated only as "Instant Karma Day".

I know. It's not really a Holywood Leftist ping as much as an extreme leftist celebrity ping this time around.

She's offering something that's not hers to give.

It's like Clinton apologizing for slavery, as if

1.) He was responsible and

2.) His apology had any meaning

What a warped person she must be.

This woman must have been GREAT in the sack back in the day; although I want to puke thinking about it, it's the only explanation I can think of... she's hideous to look at, she can't sing and her voice is completely abrasive, and every time she opens her mouth, she says something stupid. And it's not like John Lennon's options were limited. Sigh... I wish these people would just go away.

So, is she now going to put her (husbands) money where her mouth is and actually DO something to help all these people she asked fogiveness of? Talk is cheap. I wouldn't consider an apology like that sincere if it was offered to me with no effort towards reconciliation. Thinking they have someone's forgiveness just because the *apologized* is only a conscience cleanser.

Well, that will work out great. The world's suffering millions all have a subscription to the New York Times, or at least to the premium content online edition. I'm sure this will make them feel whole lots better.

Major league nut case. Was once thought to have a pretty good
business mind running her late husbands assets. Turned out all she was doing was consulting an astrologer to make business decisions.

ROFL. Exactly.

And for all her screeching, whining, BS and baloney.

And for all her pretentious, self absorbed, self-indulgent, narcissistic, condescending, cliched "feel good" faux naif, self-important "pronouncements" of great, world shaking importance.

I'm still working on forgiving her for trying to sing.

Ono thinks she is among the hippest, most progressive people on the planet, but she is nothing but another bored (and boring), old money, liberal elitist.

Tired and mundane.

The Lennon legend affords her some credibility and attention. However, I suspect had John Lennon lived he might be telling her these days to shut the hell up. Toward the end of his life, there were signs that Lennon was shedding the Idiot Hippie cocoon and beginning to understand the meaning of true maturity.

He bought bulletproof vests for the NYPD (remember this was back in the Democrat-created NYC cesspool of the 1970s) and often spoke out in support of the department. More importantly, he was beginning to fully embrace the paramount importance of fatherhood, including writing the magnificently moving Beautiful Boy.
