Taxes are the last positive issue held by the GOP. They've thrown just about everything else overboard to become democrats lite.

Don't know where the "strong cowboy" went after 9/11, but he lost his spine. Now, if this is true, rather than going down fighting the rats on every issue, he will be giving in without a fight.

I will cut back my hours based on an analysis of the higher tax rates. Not worth it to me to work lots of weekends, nights and holidays in the ER so I can donate more than 50% to the feds. Momma did not raise a fool.

If he were to remove (or raise) the cap on SS wages, how is that any different than Jon (I never apologize to anyone) Caray's and the democrats plan to PUNISH high income people with higher tax rates??

Class envy and class warfare just may be alive and well even in the Republican Party.

If the Republican Party wants even more of their base to sit home in '08--this would be a wonderful way to accomplish that.
