You express what I fear. I fear we cannot stand up to another adversary. I am for a draft... brings a sense of Nationality, stops illegals from wanting to come here, teaches personal hygiene, manners, respect for others, enables disadvantaged minorities (e.g. Rangel) to acquire other than street skills and gives one a sense of what is right or wrong, including war.

If I am wrong, then why haven't we gone into IRAN? Why have we gotten NATO into Afghanistan? Either a draft OR use the weapons we have, any and all, to win and put the fear of the US into the hearts of any potential adversaries including North Korea and China. Unfortunately, nothing will be done, I am afraid, until after the US mainland takes a few more severe hits; perhaps the terrorists know this as well and do not hit the US for that reason - JMO.

A draft would not impact people who are not here "officially". They would not have to register for the draft, but they would vote--democrat--for the welfare dollars.

Rangel and his street punks are too stupid to be in today's military, they don't have, and can never acquire, the skills to be anything other than cannon fodder. Not a bad idea, now that I mention it.

Yes, I agree, We DO need a draft. We are currently filling the ranks with men in their 40s for Gods sake. We only have 700,000 land forces and those are the ones who have to go in handcuffed with KGC rules of engagement and lawyers ready to court marshal them for firing one bullet to soon.

And sometimes Democrats say the right things. If everyone knew that right out of High School, their son and daughter was going in the military for two years,

... they would not stand for them dying for a constitution that states NO LAW SHALL CONTRADICT ISLAM.

and they would not stand for them fighting to help people who parade in the street in support of Hamas and Hezzbolah!

We definitely need a draft... heck compulsory military duty is more like it.
