--how will we defeat China when we are making them RICH?--
We could flood them with Democrat talking points on economics & culture (tax the rich, sue the $#!t out of successful industries, adopt endless regulations, slash intelligence & military spending, glorify homosexuality and porn, shut down those dirty coal plants, and worship stone statues of Al Gore in all Buddhist temples).
bump for later.........
I don't doubt you are against China (I presume you mean Red China)
That doesn't change my observation that you are irrationally angry at Wal-Mart.
Anyone who uses "f-in" twice in a single run on sentence, and calls people who shop at Wal-Mart "Fat, Ignorant Schmucks of Amurika" has either bought in to the liberal slander of Wal-Mart, is under the thrall of the unions or simply has difficulty controlling his anger. Perhaps all three.
I don't think anyone reading your post would think your anger with Red China was the primary point of your post. If it was, you need to work on your communication skills. The primary point that was clear to others, but perhaps not you, is that you have serious issues with consumers shopping at Wal-Mart, on Thanksgiving Day, to boot.
As I said earlier, and will again, for the second time, Wal-Mart could be Home Depot, Target, or any other store nowadays. The point is that Lenin was right when he said (and I'm paraphrasing, here) that capitalists will sell the rope to those that will ultimately hang them.
And anyone who forgoes their family and friends on Thanksgiving to sleep outside of a Wal--I mean, Target--is a Schmuck, in my opinion. And a loser. And all of the schmucks (and losers) I saw on TV squatting outside the stores were fat, as well. Hence, the "Fat Ignorant Schmucks" label. It is not as hard as you make it seem...
Because they knew 'he would.'
It makes you wonder how many others have and are being targeted by the ChiComs.
The entire Clinton Administration sold out to the Red Chinese for a lot of $$$$$$. In the future, probably not that far off, we shall all pay the highest price for this brazen act of bold treason.
Meanwhile, everyone from the White House on down is mute on there other arms merchant to the Axis of Evil lurking in the Kremlin, issuing orders to remove all critics. We will only be able to blame ourselves for what is about to transpire.
It's Wal-Mart's fault!
The Chinese certainly had the right President in the White House for that.
"Read THE CAPTAIN AND THE KINGS" by Taylor Caldwell for the real truth behind what makes major countries tick."
Uh, my old eyes tire out real easy. Won't you please tell us what it's about, so I won't have to read it? It would be nice of you if you would . . . Puhleeeze?! . . Whinnneee . . . Whine . . .
I also recall the old bulletin board style FR, circa 1996/97. Started with Whitewater but turned into so much more, didn't it?
We've come a long way, baby...so to speak.
Since then, we've all been educated on how to interpret the varied meanings of the word "is" and also how to keep paperwork under wraps until the statue of limitations runs out, among many other things.
As if being anti-union and anti-WalMart import crap is exclusionary.
Why bother saving for retirement when so many of us will be dying with our boots on in some bombed out cityscape, fighting an enemy that too many RINO's have "slept" with.
At least we'll take a helluva lot of them with us.
This article implies that Kissinger is a "deep throat" character. I have suspected him of being a spy since the days he rose to power in the Nixon White House. He has been a common thread throughout the administrations of Presidents ever since. Also, the deep connection of the Bush family in China from many, many years ago has always been an open question that needs an answer. The Uncle, the father who was both Ambassador to China and head of CIA, President one and two. The late friendship of Clinton and Bush Sr. suggests an attitude of "it's all just politics". These people seem to exist in another world, a shadow world maybe, quite detached from the Constitution.
The funny thing is that Clinton could have been had for some free Moo Goo Gai Pan take out and a little free exotic dark haired action.
The Chinese spent way too much, giving Clinton credit for much more class than he has.
I have read most of her books. Its hard to fathom that she may have been right on. However, the way the world has been shaping up with odd explanations for why Republicans act like Dems and vice versa compels me to believe she may have it right. Depressing, but true. In her novels, it is easy to understand how we argue over things political, and it all won't matter in the end due to the nature of man.
I think we need to accept China as the force it is and will continue to grow to be. It will soon be a superpower in all senses of the word.
But I think we also need to speak softly and carry an even bigger stick when we deal with China. Just two quick examples: There is much more we should do to compel China to open up its own markets for OUR/other nations' merchandise and we also should stop being so hesitant in going after the fake goods/knockoffs produced so prevalently in China.
If we don't do this better than we have been, the U.S. will become increasingly impotent in the global scheme of things. I believe we forgot what it's like to think long-term (and how dangerous it is to act with sights set only on the short-term.).
Unfortunately, I feel we gave up so much ground with China -- in the past two decades especially -- that the nation simply thumbs its nose at us now. And they can almost afford to since China has smartly cozied up with Russia!
I fully agree.
There is certain adverse reciprocity for economically strengthening & militarily appeasing the lurking monsters controlling the brutal régimes of Red China & Russia.
The inevitable reckoning is not far off. When it happens one will be hard pressed to locate businessmen willingly admitting they played a part in America's economic downfall.
Stopping Hillary should be a FreeRepublic Manhattan Project!
Thanks, Doug! It is a good one!
