Hey, are there any edible cactus over there in that desert? In the Mojave desert near me, there are prickly pears that can be grilled and eaten after using a leather glove and a big Ginsu knife on the skin. Nah....all we have on the desert here are camels and IEDs. And neither of them are very tasty.

I didn't see the original "Keep clam" post but nopard, I think it might make you feel a little better to know that that was a very effective advertisement in the Puget Sound for years, part of Ivar's seafood products and restaurants' ads, spoken by Ivar himself. They have been very much loved around the Seattle area for decades.
Photo taken at some of the Ivar's establishments (they have seafood bars as well as restaurants).
