Russia to deliver arms to Iran
Breitbart.com ^ | 11-24-06 | Staff

Russia has begun delivery of Tor-M1 air defense missile systems to Iran, a Defense Ministry official said Friday, confirming that Moscow would proceed with arms deals with Tehran in spite of Western criticism. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the issue, declined to specify when the deliveries had been made and how many systems had been delivered.

Ministry officials have previously said Moscow would supply 29 of the sophisticated missile systems to Iran under a $700 million contract signed in December, according to Russian media reports.

The United States called on all countries last spring to stop all arms exports to Iran, as well as ending all nuclear cooperation with it to put pressure on Tehran to halt uranium enrichment activities. Israel, too, has severely criticized arms deals with Iran.

Tehran insists its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, but the United States and its allies suspect Iran is trying to develop weapons.

The U.N. Security Council, where Russia is a veto-wielding permanent member, is currently stalemated on the severity of sanctions on Iran for defying its demand to cease enrichment.

The Tor-M1 deal, involving conventional weapons, does not violate any international agreements.

Russian officials say the missiles are purely defensive weapons with a limited range.

According to the Interfax news agency, the Tor-M1 system can identify up to 48 targets and fire at two targets simultaneously at a height of up to 20,000 feet.

Russian media have reported previously that Moscow had conducted talks on selling even more powerful long-range S-300 air defense missiles, but Russian officials have denied that.

Worthless garbage. Any American or Israeli aircraft flies double the hight of the maximum reach of the Tor-M1.
Let the Iranians waste their money.

See previous thread.

Putin is playing with fire, the Muslims who destroyed a theater and murdered children care not one whit who supplies them with arms, they will attack the Russians just as quickly as they attack their fellow muslims.
Putin is a dangerous little man, killing one of his KGB agents in London, turning on Poland and continuing to arm the most dangerous people on the planet. What's next for Pootie, murdering anyone who seems a danger to his agenda of hate America, freedom and fair elections. Russia is falling down a rathole with this punk as their great leader. Wake up, and smell the corruption coming from Moscow, we are the enemy to Putin and it is time we stop enabling this little monster.

1) Tell that b!tch to go back to her own country.
2) Russians,Germans, and French have no right to make accusations of tyranical regimes when they have, Hitler, Napolean, and Stalin on their resumes.
3) Her former government supplied Saddam with weapons all the way up until the begining of the war. They did everything they could to make sure Saddam stayed in power. So Saddam could continue to kill.

When the topic comes up, get her to voice her beliefs in front of other co-workers. An innocent, so, so-and-so, what do you think, by you or someone else might do the trick, lol.

My boss is from Venezula...along with 2 other co-workers, then Cuba, Peurto Rico and Peru. I do work with a man from Isreal who's cousin fought against Lebanon....he was saying how most people in his country like Clinton over Bush-- and he doesn't understand it either. There is ONE man that I work with that is American and he's from Massachsetts. I'm cooked.

Yeah....she said the Iraqis do not want us there and that we are taking control/occupying. That we made is worse and that we were stupid to think we could change something thats been that way for thousands of years. She used the buzz word that the Dems use, but I can't think of it right now...in regards to occupying. I told her that Iraq was better before Saddam...and that we are wanted there but you watch the liberal media news and don't see that.
She said, we disagree. I shut up because I need my job.

Her former government supplied Saddam with weapons all the way up until the begining of the war.== Not true.

Soveit goverment indeed helped Saddam in 1979th with armament supply. But in 1980th it was American goverment which helped Saddam with amrmament. Russian goverment didn't supply Saddam with weapons.

Yes true. They were in there until the beginning of the recent war. We even found a Russian jet buried in the desert. And what makes you think they wouldn't have supplied them recently?? They're supplying IRAN RIGHT NOW!

Iran is legitimate customer. Russia do not present them but sells them. For US dollars accually. You should bother where they get US dollars.
