Kudos to US Airways. Risking fines and a boycott, it did the right thing this week by removing a group of Muslim men from a flight to protect its crew and passengers.
By most accounts, the six bearded men were behaving suspiciously at a time when airports were on high alert for sky terror during the holidays. "There were a number of things that gave the flight crew pause," an airline spokesman said. According to witnesses and police reports, the men:
Made anti-American statements.
Made a scene of praying and chanting "Allah."
Asked for seat-belt extensions even though a flight attendant thought they didn't need them.
Refused requests by the pilot to disembark for more screening.
Also, three of the men had only one-way tickets and no checked baggage.
Police had to forcibly remove the men from the flight, whereupon they were taken into custody. A search found no weapons or explosives, and they were released to continue on their journey.

This does NOT sound "innocent" by any stretch of imagination.
First lesson.......NEVER, EVER pray and chant to Allah on a flight anymore.
Let's just hope the backlash doesn't prevent other airlines from doing the same thing in similar situations.
"CAIR wants congressional hearings to investigate other incidents of "flying while Muslim." Incoming Judiciary Chairman John Conyers, D-Mich., has already drafted a resolution, borrowing from CAIR rhetoric, that gives Muslims special civil-rights protections."
Maybe THAT was the whole objective of this exercise -- to give grounds for a suit, so that airlines won't remove the REAL terrorists, when they are about to implement an attack. This is not tinfoil stuff anymore.
PS. Those who stayed home in the November election can be happy now.
See my post 4 -- our fine new Dem Congress is already working on preventing airlines from removing terrorists.
It is suspicious to me that these and other Muslims have not expressed understanding of why they were asked to leave the plane.
They are pushing against the envelope of tolerance.
My tolerance ran dry on 9-11-01.
I still have NONE.
STFU
A set-up, to get the MSM whining about the unfair treatment.
They are just saying, "We're here and, we're in your face!" I get a feeling we're about see a lot of this, Muslims in small groups going around being a nuisance, exercising First Amendment rights. There's probably nothing we can do about it.
That was the intent in my opinion, to create a stir to intimidate others into not being diligent.
The only boycott risk is from muslims.
But muslims won't boycott the airine. They want US patriots to boycott.
They want advocates. They want to see who agrees with them.
This is a test, it is only a test.
Will we pas this test?
STFU
Truth Hurts, eh??
Article: "Incoming Judiciary Chairman John Conyers, D-Mich., has already drafted a resolution, borrowing from CAIR rhetoric, that gives Muslims special civil-rights protections."

EEE: "STFU"

And your point is? You don't think people should consider the consequences, very dire consequences, of their petulant and stupid actions? Or are YOU really happy that the Dems got into power and can't wait to destroy the country, literally, not just figuratively.
CAIR has taken the ball from the ACLU and run with it.
The ACLU takes the ball from CAIR and runs with it.
John Conyers takes the ball from both.
Another, to my mind very real, possibility is that they were purposefully behaving provocatively, either for the "fun" of agitating the infidels, or because they wanted to provoke a reaction (as being expelled from the flight) that could be "milked" for publicity value and advancing victimization status.
I think I'm liking the editorial policy of IBD better than WSJ.
Too late , I think. The airline has already announced some kind of barbrastreisand training for personnel. I think it's here in one of the clips:
