Justly proud of him, SheLion - what branch of the service was he in?

Justly proud of him, SheLion - what branch of the service was he in?

He served 4 years in the Army when he was in Viet Nam.  He was discharged and worked Civil Service for a year, but being strictly military, he got the itch to go back in.  I talked him into going Air Force because I didn't want him going back to Nam. He was wounded twice and had two Purple Hearts.  I just couldn't bare him going back

So, Air Force it was.  He was a heavy duty mechanic for many years until we came up here to Loring Air Force Base ( which closed in September of 94) but he crossed trained and served the last 7 years being the 1st Shirt of Transportation Squadron.  He served 26 years.
